To combat the global threat of terrorism, we need cooperation from all of our allies. Gone are the days when national armies were our only enemies. Today, a single individual with a suitcase bomb could kill thousands on American soil. The threat of nuclear weapons in the hands of unfriendly and rogue nations puts us at greater risk of attack than we were during the Cold War. 
 
Keeping America safe is more complicated than ever and will require vigilance on our part to stop the flow of money to terrorist groups and undermine their networks of destruction. To do that, we need to work with our traditional allies as well as new partners around the world. Only together can we eradicate the threats to our way of life and make America a safer place to live.
